What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment that uses a series of bespoke clear tooth aligners for straightening teeth without the use of traditional wire and bracket braces.

Invisalign clear aligners are custom-made with proprietary SmartTrack material. They fit snugly over your teeth and are clinically proven to improve control of tooth movement, gently moving your teeth and even rotating them when needed.

These braces are almost invisible to everyone – offering a real alternative to unsightly metal braces that may make you feel self-conscious during treatment. Unlike other traditional metal braces, Invisalign retainer are removable. You can take it out while eating, flossing or brushing teeth.

How does it work?

Invisalign aligners move teeth through a series of carefully controlled movements. Unlike traditional braces, Invisaline treatment not only controls the amount of movement that each aligner delivers, but also the timing of the movement. So, at each stage, only certain teeth can move, following the treatment plan for that particular stage. This results in an efficient force delivery system.

How much does Invisalign cost?

As with other types of orthodontic treatment, the cost of Invisalign treatment depends on the complexity of your teeth straightening issue and your course of treatment. As a general rule the cost for adults is comparable to traditional fixed braces and is typically between £2,500 and £5,500, although if only minor tooth movement is required, prices could start from £1,500.
