At Borough Dental Care, we are proud to offer NHS dental services to ensure affordable and essential dental care for everyone. Our NHS treatments are designed to help maintain your oral health and prevent future dental problems, with a clear and straightforward fee structure regulated by the NHS.
NHS Fee Bands
NHS dental treatments are categorized into three bands, with fixed costs for each:-
Band 1: £26.80
Covers a basic dental examination, diagnosis (e.g., X-rays), advice on preventing future issues, and a simple scale and polish (if clinically necessary).
Example: Routine check-up or X-rays.

Band 2: £73.50
Includes everything in Band 1, plus additional treatments such as fillings, extractions, and root canal therapy.
Example: Tooth filling or simple extraction.

Band 3: £319.10
Includes everything in Bands 1 and 2, as well as complex procedures such as crowns, dentures, and bridges.
Example: Fitting of a denture or a bridge.
Payment Methods
We accept a variety of payment methods for NHS fees to make it convenient for you, including:
- Debit or Credit Card
- Bank Transfer
- Cash (in person at the practice)
Payment is required at the time of your visit or before treatment begins.
Eligibility and Restrictions
To qualify for NHS dental care, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be registered with a UK dentist providing NHS care.
- Provide proof of eligibility if you claim free NHS dental treatment (e.g., certain benefits or exemptions).
- Note that NHS dental services cover treatments that are clinically necessary to maintain your oral health. Cosmetic treatments (e.g., teeth whitening, veneers) are not included under NHS care and are available privately.
